The Crew has been active since 2013 moved by the love for the Roots Reggae music and its culture.

🔊LINEA DI MASSA
Era la metà degli anni 90 quando, oltre a suonare e collezionare vinili Reggae, la crew cominciò il lungo progetto di autocostruzione del sound: nel maggio 1999 nacque e suonò per la prima volta LDM Sound System - Linea di Massa - Lion Dub Master. Da quel momento la missione della crew divenne il promuovere ad alto volume e nella sua forma più tradizionale la musica portatrice di un messaggio fatto di radici, realtà e cultura. No slackness, no gun&violence lyrics, ma solo Righteousness e Universal Love, in parole povere Roots Music.
La crew si esprime in session con una ricca collezione di vinili Reggae Roots Dub from JA e UK, e con una originale selezione di dubplates & unreleased nonché autoproduzioni LDM Studio.
Partecipa alle ultime 3 edizioni del R.A.S. e muove il sound su e giù per la penisola con qualche puntata in Europa e Sud America, organizzando diversi incontri con altre realtà, nonché il Ministry of Dubwise itinerante in Italia, un progetto che dal 1999 al 2003 ha visto in piú occasioni l'incontro di 3 sound schierati in un unica yard. Nel 2004 fonda l’agenzia Ten Inch Promotion sotto il cui nome organizza eventi e distribuisce vinili.
Nel 2007 nascono l’etichetta Yard Edutainment con la stampa limitata di un vinile 10” ed il Roma Dub Club sotto il nome di Kaliseum Dub Arena, e l’anno successivo R&D Vibes, trasmissione radio ogni sabato mattina su RadioSonar.net in collaborazione con Faugno aka the Roots Guardian e MrGreen. In tutti questi anni LDM ha ospitato ed ha condiviso la control tower con il top-a-top della scena Roots/Dub, ed ha avuto il piacere di suonare nelle migliori piazze e festival e riscaldare il palco per numerose band storiche. 🔊RISE & SHINE SOUND SYSTEM
Nasce nel 2004 a Bologna con l'intento di diffondere il messaggio di unità, amore ed uguaglianza attraverso la mistica profondità della "Roots Music".
Protagonisti delle stagioni musicali dello storico club reggae di Bologna Sottotetto Sound Club, Resident Sound del Lab Crash! attualmente Ex centrale Bologna, da 20 anni diffondono messaggi di unità, amore ed uguaglianza attraverso la mistica profondità della "Roots Music”.
Nel 2006 R&S acquisisce parte dello storico impianto "Jah Vibra Sound System” che viene successivamente ampliato e rinnovato. Comincia così a dare sempre più importanza alla tradizione del Sound System e a suonare nel più classico degli stili inglesi: un giradischi, sirena, delay, riverberi, dubplates ecc…
Ogni session diventa un profondo viaggio musicale, a partire dagli anni '70, dalle fondamenta della musica reggae, fino all’ attuale generazione di artisti e produttori che dimostrano quanto questo genere dopo molti decenni dalla sua apparizione sia in costante evoluzione e tragga vigore da ogni cambiamento.Negli anni seguenti R&S continua a collaborare con numerose crew e sound system, partecipa a diversi festival ed ha l'onore di ospitare e suonare al fianco di moltissimi artisti del panorama roots/dub internazionale, affermandosi tra le realtà più interessanti della scena italiana.
Dal 2017 inizia a sviluppare il proprio “suono” in studio, avvalendosi della preziosa collaborazione dell’ etichetta bolognese “Bassplate Records". Negli ultimi anni R&S sperimenta inoltre l'utilizzo del proprio Sound per amplificare diverse serate di Bass Music.
